Once upon a time, I was very excited about mobile BI. I've not yet seen a solution that moved beyond "that's cool" to "that's usable day in and day out". You nail why in mentioning the Kindle. Smart phones don't have the screen real estate that I need for the BI analysis I'd want to do while mobile. The iPad is a possible solution to that, but I'd probably rather have a larger netbook with some sort of instant on boot and a web browser.

I work for a media company and my executives are clamoring for a mobile solutions. something that use on their blackberries. They travel all of the time and don't have time to sit and read a long report. So i do think Mobile BI is relevant if it could be done right.
